'Action Kommandant' Screening at Alexander Sinton

In celebration of Freedom Day, on the 26 April 2018 the Cape Town Museum of Childhood, in collaboration with the Blue Collar Foundation, presented a film screening of Action Kommandant at Alexander Sinton High School to a group of 220 learners. Action Kommandant is a documentary film based on freedom fighter Ashley Kriel’s life.  The film shares intimate details about Ashley Kriel’s life, as well as his death, by those close to him. Ashley Kriel contributed to revolutionizing working class youth during the Apartheid Era and will always be remembered for this. At the screening we were joined by Cape Town filmmaker Nadine Cloete who directed and produced Action Kommandant. She had the opportunity to share her journey in making Action Kommandant.
