"You can find magic wherever you look. Sit back and relax, all you need is a book." - Dr Seuss

International Literacy Day with Kewtown Primary School

On the 5 September 2019, the Cape Town Museum of Childhood celebrated International Literacy Day with about 50 grade 4 learners at Kewtown Primary School. We invited our friend Emile Jansen, founder of Heal the Hood, to share stories that he wrote for his own children to educate them about their Khoe San heritage. The learners enjoyed hearing Emile’s stories and his impromptu dance lesson.

The Cape Town Museum of Childhood gifted Kewtown Primary School’s library with two books, “A girl without a sound” by Buhle Ngaba and “Madiba and Children” by Bridget Kahts and Eric Atmore.
