Women’s Month – Visit to St George’s Home for Girls

In celebration of Women’s Month, on the 29 August 2019, the Cape Town Museum of Childhood spent time with twenty young girls at St George’s Home for Girls in Wynberg. We took some of our friends from the Laureus Sport for Good Foundation and Box Girls SA along with us. Box Girls SA, an organisation that teaches self-defence to young girls in Khayelithsa, presented a basic self-defence session to the girls of St George’s Home.

PLEASE NOTE: We will be closed every Wednesday for the month of April.

Should public holidays fall between Wednesday and Saturday we will be open from 10am to 2pm.

We will also be closed from Friday 18 April until and including Wednesday 30 April 2025.
